In September 2015, Arx Urban acquired a 37-unit apartment complex in Dorchester’s Jones Hill neighborhood that was on the City of Boston’s Bad Property Task Force List. The property is within walking distance of the Savin Hill Red Line subway station and across the street from The Meeting House. After acquisition, Arx Urban worked with the property’s tenants, neighborhood associations and the Boston Police Department to improve living conditions and safety at the building without displacing tenants of good standing.

 

Working in tandem with Hybrid Construction & Development LLC, Arx Urban completed major renovations to units including a full energy retrofit through the Mass Save Multifamily Program. Common areas were also upgraded with new lighting, windows, laundry facility, security systems, landscaping and keyless entry. Trinity Management LLC oversees daily operations and because of the collaboration between the team and the tenants, the building was removed from Bad Property Task Force List in 2016.
