Arx Urban acquired a transit-oriented, generational apartment complex in the Ashmont neighborhood of Dorchester in Boston. The property is within walking distance of Adams Village and the Ashmont Red Line subway station. Arx Urban completed major renovations including a full energy retrofit through the Mass Save Multifamily Program and common areas renovations.
In 2022, Arx Urban partnered with Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Housing to retroactively income-restrict the building under the Acquisition Opportunity Program (between 30-90% of AMI). The program aims to increase the share of Boston’s affordable rental housing stock protected from market forces and to prevent displacement of tenants threatened by rapidly increasing rents.
